I remeber my friend had a 2nd gen and he wanted to get his tint taken off and put back on and they wanted 70 something dollars to take of the old tint and put 100 to re tint.

Removing tint is not that hard. Once you get the actual paper off all you have to do is spray some ammonia on the adhesive and let it sit there for a few minutes. After which the adhesive just turns into goo and you just wipe it off with paper towels or an old rag. If you can't handle the smell of the ammonia, use 3M adhesive remover. It will take a little more work but it will take it off just as well.

I did mine myself, It took about 20 seconds to take off and didn't leave any residue behind... I guess I was just lucky. Thought I did take it off at nearly a 180 degree angle.

I want to redo my protege, but I want 35% all the way around... At least I think I want to redo it ...lol

The 323 is getting 35% all the way around ..

get at least 20% man. i got 5% all around except the front windows which was 20%. I got a ticket the other day for speeding and they didnt say jack **** about my tint. And there was like five cops.

I was going 62 in a 45 and it woulda been in the mid 100 range but I talked my way out of that and i got him to puyt it down to the minumin, which was nine miles over. SO nows its a 46 dollar ticket.

easiest way to do it.

tools
scissors
trash bags
spray bottle
liquid soap
hot water
hot day

steps.
1. cut open trash bags.
2. mix hot water and liquid soap in the spray bottle
3. spray windows up with soap water. make sure you spray a generous amount so it does not dry up.
4. stick the bags up on the wet windows
5. park your car outside on a hot ass day for like an hour or so the sun heats the crap outta the glue and mixes with the water and soap.
6. remove bags
7. peel tint off

As you all know, my tint is going in the back. Should I just have someone take it off and re tint it? how much would they charge? Or shoudl I just take it off myself? I heard its a pain in the ass. I was thinking I should just take it all off and get the darkest tint possible. Its getting slightly purple.
