Argggh, where does this rattle come from?

I've owned 2 Protege's now - a 96 ES and now a 03 P5. The new one has developed the same rattle that the old one did.

It seems to be somewhere around the glove box or above it in the dash. Since both of mine have had it, I'm hoping someone else may have also had it and know how to fix it?

Definitely not change in the ashtray, something in the glove box, or the glove box door itself. Thoughts?

when it happens start touching things in that area with a firm touch and if you get it to stop while your touching it you will know what it is.
