This depends on alot of things man:
1) do you have the facility to do it yourself or would you need to rent space?
2) do you have the ability and skills to do the fiberglassing yourself or will you payt somone else to do it.
3) what quality fiberglass resein are you going to use.
4) are you going to paint it, carpet it, vinyl it or professionally sand/smooth/paint/gloss it when your done.
5) how much of the trunk are you going to do? Sides, whole thing, wheel well-
6) how often do you use your trunk - ie are you going to still be putting stuff in there causing costs of fixing and repainting it.
JUst some things for you to consider.

let's put it this way, when i was younger and less experienced i went to a few local shops and asked how much it would cost to fiberglass in three 15's and an amp rack into my trunk and gel coat it. the cheapest quote was $1800

just learn to do the fiberglassing your self... its not that hard I think... just build up to it... first thing I did was jsut make a flat sheet of the stuff.. then i made curvy sheet... then i made a cylnder... then i took that cyclender and molded a bottom to it and made it into a cup.... then i drank out if it and the water tasted like ****.... then I just started going from there just takes time and patience.... hardest part I think it the sanding.

gimme a year, i'll be doing it as a hobby, i hope..
trying my hand at building a hot tub my buddy 'n i designed..
i wanted to fiberglass my trunk.. but damn poverty makes me need the trunk space.
fiberglassing isn't hard, at all. it's just MAAAAD time consuming to lay, sand, lay, sand, lay, sand.... repeat another 100000 times.

like the other guy said, try it yourself.
here's a how to from hihoslva.
it cost about $150 for him, but if you've got a decent paint supplier in your area you can get a gallon of resin for $15, and the mat for under $20. walmart is a great place for brushes, mixing buckets, and rubber gloves. DO NOT FORGET TO USE RUBBER GLOVES!!! you don't want that crap on your hands, trust me.
i'd say try something like that, if you've got access to the tools. it's not hard, just time consuming.
