    Drag DR23's opinions?

I'm not too savvy with what are 'good' or 'bad' wheels. All I know is that these ones are sweet!

Anyways I'm wondering if anyone has used "drag" wheels before or more specifically these? I don't want to purchase rims that are just going to randomly brake on the highway. (I've heard horror stories about buying aluminum rims from japan) :D

Buy whatever fits your budget, I always say. There will be people out there on the web that will tell you otherwise. "Those wheels are junk", or, "Those are gonna break and you'll die.", and so on. It's mostly just elitist babble. Sure, there have been aftermarket wheel failures, but stock wheels can fail too, so that argument is pretty invalid if you ask me. I've had "knockoff" wheels before and they served me just fine. I doubt that you'll have a different experience with these. If you like it, buy it and enjoy. As far as Japanese wheels being junk, that really isn't the case. It's the offy-brand wheels that you've never heard of from other Asian countries that you need to worry about, if any. Wheels that have failed didn't just crumble apart going down the highway, either. There was blunt force from something; A curb, a tree branch, etc.

That said, I think those are pretty plain looking. This is posted under BJ chassis, and I think you can do better for a BJ Protege than wheels that seemingly every Civic in the world has. That's just my opinion, however.

Those Drag wheels are a copy of a copy that was originally the spoon/desmound wheel.

For most on this board they will serve you just fine. There is a huge difference in a high end wheels versus a knock-off. Not to mention the fact that its fairly unethical imo to copy the asthetics of a companies design, produce an inferior product and then undercut them in price.

i like to think of it like buying a fake rolex vs real rolex. you might fool some people, but deep down, you know its just not the real deal.

I guess I just have no shame, then. lol

I don't give a damn as long as it looks good and didn't bankrupt me. I mean, I bought "real" wheels for my car, but only because I got them for a good price from a friend.
