Okay, just got the car and immediate plans are bodykit, drop, and 17's. I'm confused as to what kits fit the MP3 and mazdaspeed and not the ES 2.0 I have. Also, the front lights are different on the Dx and such right? I went to wings west (good quality, I have the RS kit on my coupe) but I can't figure what kit is for the mp3 and Msp and what kit is for my car. I want to look at other kits too but what are the fitment issues.

Theres a big difference between body parts and engine parts. An intake for a MP3/MSP/sedan will fit on a P5, but the rear bumper will not. Either will the exhaust, but as far as body kits go any kit for a MP3 or MSP should fit your car fine. The Wings West kit you were looking at it will fit on your car.Eric Johnson

I swapped the entire valve cover. The actual metal engine part and the plastic cover. I painted the plastic black mica to match the body and intake. It looks hella sweet. I have a pic of it on my cardomain.com page which i have to update eventually.Eric Johnson

I'm happy because Dima speeds, which makes him happy. He seems to be happy only when speeding, which makes me happy. And when I'm happy people around me are able to live another day. If you are alive right now, you should thank Dima.

Looks good. That plastic cover will fit any 2.0 right? I see you are from Ft. Lauderdale. I bought a turbo kit from Cybernations.com a few years ago for my civic. they are located in Ft. lauderdale right near A1A. Then last year, we flew into Ft. lauderdale while on our way to Key West and I stopped by and checked out the shop. It was weird to buy something off the internet and then to actually visit the shop.2005 Velocity Red RX8 GT 6 Speed

tviera: I didnt mean to include MSP on the intake part. I noe that it wont fit right. Then again if i put a mazdaspeed turbo kit in my P5 i would be able to prove u wrong. hehe.
redcivic: if you just want the plastic part you would need the mounts like what dgmotorsports gives you with their c/f valve cover. otherwise you would need the complete valve cover from a MSP or MP3 in order to put it on a your engine because it has studs molded into it for the plastice cover to mount on to.Eric Johnson

Thanks. Can you buy the mazdaspeed tubo kit ro do you need to pull everything off the MSP? Does the MSP have a different fuel system and ECU? What about the MSP block, is it built stronger than the typical 2.0?2005 Velocity Red RX8 GT 6 Speed

About the wings west kit, if you choose to order one you will have to get the one that does NOT fit the MP3. The MP3s use a different bracket to hold on the front bumper, and they also have different inner fenders. I did some research before i finally settled on the MP3 kit, but i had the front end put on at a dealership. As for the MSP turbo, you'll end up paying an arm and a leg for it, so i would probably look to other companies, such as BEGI, Hiboost, or Essential Speed. They have reasonable kits that will do the job for less than what the MSP turbo would cost you to get.

There seems to be an epidemic in MI, everyone seems to think that painting your car isn't cool anymore, and people drive around with more primer than paint. What is the world coming to?

So you have teh Mp3 kit and what all did it entail? Why did you choose that over the WW kit? Why the hell is the Mp3 and MSP bracketry different anyway. Seems like a PIA for manufacturing. i guess I can see why the MSP would be different but why the MP3.2005 Velocity Red RX8 GT 6 Speed

When i started with the ES, after it was finished they had to put on a new front bumper, new inner fenders, new foglights, new lower grille, and new bumper mount. The side skirts and rear bumper skirt are simple bolt on pieces that you can order from most websites, as well as the mazda dealership. The reason i chose this kit over the WW kit was basically that I didnt want to get too carried away with the body work, since thats not the main goal of my car. I really liked the WW kit, but i figured I'd stick with the OEM parts for now, and down the road if i get sick of it i can always order the other kit and put it on. If you go to my cardomain page you can see the front end, but i don't have any pics of the skirts or rear bumper, since those are out to paint. Tuesday I should have my 2003.5 MSP spoiler and skirts back on the car, so I'll take some pics to show you. BTW what color is your Pro?

The block in the MSP is just a regular FS style block. Depending on if you actually buy the kit from a dealer or if you buy the parts from Mazdaspeed Motorsports will cause a great difference in price, but the last time i checked the cost of the upgrade with a dealer, it was cheaper then going with another aftermarket turbo setup.Eric Johnson
