Getting back to the subject of driving on snow, it's all about the tires. My '03 LX is absolutely awesome on the snow and ice here in North Dakota. Up here, they don't plow the side streets at all, so on the street in front of my house, there's about six inches of compacted snow and ice, and it's almost as bad on the highways. The stock tires on my LX are great, so I'm sure that if you get a set of snow tires on the MSP, it'll be great, too

i have the stock tires on my 2000LX protege
i don't know what tires they are
but i do know they are different than the ones
on the P5's
the tires i have are definetly great in snow, they are the ones that come in stock. i have driven them numerous times and they saved me in more than one occasions!
about the MSP difference
the major diffrences:
1.the 2003 has fog lights and a diffrent spoiler than the 2003.5. the latter has no foglights and a higher spoiler.
2. the earlier model has a slightly different body kit than the 2003.5 and the latter one has more color variation.
the steering thing, make sure you get it checked out.
that is not normal.
my 1.6L going 90mph does not do that!
so, that is not normal
i don't know about stick shifts.( i drive a auto.....I KNOW!!!!!)
I am suprised you don't like the rims on the MSP
i would buy them from you, but i have the 4 lug rather than the 5 lug's.
but, there is a ton of people that would buy it from you
A good tire to buy is the Kuhmo ecstasa
good place to see the ratings and prices for that tire
get steelies for the winter then get good rims for the summer
hope that helped out a little
welcome to the boards!
