what do i look for when the right (US passenger) side of the car appears higher off the ground than the left (US driver) side.
i took masking tape and rolled out a piece between the center of the wheel to the fender wheel arch. i marked the tape at the center of the wheel and the fender arch with a permanent marker. i did this for both sides and compared the marks on the tape and found the driver side is just less than 1cm lower.
how do i troubleshoot this? i read up some good info on replacing endlinks so i'll look for bent end link but is there anything else i can inspect? ball joints? tie rods? spring/strut? any other parts? is there a way to test those w/o removing them from the car?
to catch you up to date this happened:
the left front control arm came off while driving. and the shop was able to bolt everything back on and a wheel bearing needed replacing. so i suspect it is related.
