Hello, I might be interested in the SAFC, however I only ever make transactions like this through eBay. Is there any way we can negotiate a price, and then you list the SAFC on eBay and send me a link to the listing, and I'll buy it immediately, that way I'm protected through eBay.

And I have over 200 positive feedback on eBay.

Let me know what you think about this idea.

          Standby...

I hear you about doing safe transactions, but I got a good reputation here selling stuff.

Sold a while back a MS for 350.00, and about a week ago sold the fuel pump. No need to use Ebay, its the same thing.

A FAIR price, both for buyer and seller, is $110 including the shipping cost with insurance.

They are been sold on EBAY for 160/ 170 and coming from Malaysia, or outside US, certainly clones.

Its in good working condition, I did notice the difference and its easy to tune. As long as you are on a conservative tune and not too crazy on horse power, a piggy back will suffice.

A few more questions before I make my decision,

Do you need to dyno the car or can the average joe do it themselves (provided they know as much as an average joe does about AFR ratios and has a wideband)?

Also, after doing research online, I am getting mixed information as to whether or not this can provide a benefit on a NA car with a few bolt ons. I'm not talking about a huge amount of power, but perhaps 5HP?

Contrary to what many members believe about band-aids, and state they are junk, I was able to tune mine at 12 psi with a T3/T4.

I used a wideband to tune and was able to maintain the afrs at 12.5 consistently. A buddy of mine has a 3000GT running it at a conservative 10 psi with an Apex.

Is it the "ideal" route for tuning your car?, No, it is not. Will it get the job done? Yes, I would dare to say so. If your plan is to hit 10's in the quarter mine, so then this Band-Aid is not for you. If you have a few bolt ons and want to tweak the engine a little bit, imo, it will work.

The Apex was installed on a Ford Escort GT, BP engine, (no bolt ons or nothing and all settings at zero), and noticed the car idle and rev smoother. The Apex works as a equalizer to the cheap variable afm. The same went with the Mazda 323 with BP, the problem with mine was a failed oil pump that took me out of commission, add up a few 300 and 400 dollar tickets and it was about to call it quits. Too many toys, atvs, gopeds, Baja 5Bs, none of those gets me in trouble with the law (at least so far).

Do your own research, visit Miataturbo.net, many guys run piggy backs on conservative 8 to maybe 10 psi on a smaller turbo without issues.

                  No hurries

Although stand by because I got contractors doing the carpet at my house, and things have been moved around and cant find the bin with all the turbo car parts. Our garage is maxed with boxes, and got to surf through them to get the Apex.

Attached is the wiring harness. The piggy back was hooked up to a Escort GT and a Mazda 323 with BP motor. Was able to run 12psi on a T3/T4, of course it wasn't a a super tune, but could deliver 12 afrs on 550cc injectors, 255 Walbro fuel pump.

It will easily tune a smaller turbo mild setup or a naturally aspirated motor with the usual bolt ons. During the time I used it I noticed much crisper response and smoother idle (as if it equalizes the signal).
