GI: BP x E153 Adapter Plates

I’m in the early stages of planning another group buy for these. Please only answer the poll if you are seriously interested in purchasing an adapter plate!

Trying to figure out what sort of demand there is so I can work out pricing. Hoping to keep the price somewhere in the $300-400 range. Obviously the coating and pocketing will increase the price. No matter what, the whole batch is going to be made the same so… I’d like to go with what the majority of people are looking for.

Please share this post with people from other forums who might be interested. Questions & comments welcome…

what is the difference between pockets and no pockets?

The pocketing results in a lighter weight plate, other than that there is no advantage. Let me see if I can figure out the weight savings.

Edit: Weight savings on the pocketed version is approximately 2.6 pounds vs. the solid plate version.

I don't have the means to re-engineer the plate at the moment.

I have moved this thread to the regular For Sale forum for better visibility... I feel like no one visits the Group Buy forum as there isn't much going on in there.

Since no one was really voting I've made the executive decision to make these without the pockets. The pocketing increased the price significantly, and a 2.6 pound sprung weight savings is pretty insignificant in my opinion. Eat less cheeseburgers or clean out your glove box if you're worried about saving 2 pounds

I'm still trying to get a couple quotes on coating, but I really am interested in how important that is to people. If you're interested in buying one of these things please post up and vote! Please share a link to this thread on other forums!

I am interested in the adapter plate, but more interested in the .dxf/.dwg file. I understand if you dont want to give that up but I would pay for it and promise not to be your competition.

I've chosen a machinist to do most of the work so i should be able to finalize pricing soon. Still having trouble finding a local zinc coating vendor though.

How different is the the Bp bell from zetec? What's your thinking behind material and coating?? Also are you interested in having another party quote the work? If so how many and let me know material thickness and rough dimension.
