F.S: Ground Control coilovers (used)

I am selling my Ground Control Coilovers that I had on my 323. I upgraded to a set of Sprint springs and I am willing to let them go for 175 shipped. For a bit more, I am willing to ship them to Canada. I don't know how much it will cost but if you pay it I can ship it.

I figure it would be best for me to sell them to any Mazda Owner that wanted a set. (Make sure you have good shocks).

These coilovers are for a 2001 honda civic, but fit my 323 with no problems at all.
They come with 4 coils, 4 adj. pearches and the allen key to adjust them.

The first serious person to contact me and send paypal payment will get them.
If nothing I will just put them on ebay.

That's a good price, people. GC coilovers are around $300 new.

JordyB. The Sprint springs make the car ride smoother. The coils aren't rediculously bouncy like the WEapon R's I had on the protege, but I wanted a smoother ride, especially when I am beating the piss out the car. If I was in Florida or somewhere with smoother roads, I would not be changing them.

I will be taking photo's of the coils. I took photo's of the rears, but not the front yet. I want people to see the exact condition of the pearches and so forth. Like I said they were used for 6 months on the 2001 Honda civic that I got them from. I used them about 2 months or so.
They function great as I have used them. They fit up nicely over the shock shaft.
The front Coils you have to use the stock upper strut mount so that you can turn smoothly. Or you can have a custom pearch made. (up to you).

I should have the rear photo's posted tonight and day shots of the fronts by tomorrow.

yeah they will fit. --> I am only speaking of the Ground Controls.

This is basically a who ever comes up with the cash first sort of deal.

the reason why they seemed bouncey is because stiff springs need a damper that can handle them. I would gather the springs overpowwered the struts and they just couldn't keep up. I'd bet the damper itself was bottoming out.

Everybody just wants springs and pays no regard to struts. Struts are MORE important than springs, they MUST be a matching pair to perform best. Which is why the ZX2 struts are so popular and good. They match up well with the aftermarket springs. Sure spring rates vary, butthey don't vary wide enough to make a huge difference to the strut.

Now when you jump up to coilover springs (2.5" diameter) spring rates are MUCH more variable and some R&D and test and tune sessions are needed to find that spring rate that'll match nicely.

and BTW, Protege/323 GC kits usually run $389...hehehe at $300 it's a deal!

Yeah Mazdaracer is right, when you have coils you need stiffer struts. I do plan on upgrading my struts to the zx2's.. definetly plan on that.

p.s. They won't be shipped this dirty. I will be cleaning them up and making them nice and shinny for when they are shipped out. I would never send them this dirty. They just came out the car when I took these photo's.
