    Hey Jon,

    We need 10 of that certain model and we will start.

    e.g if we get 10 x 26 spline, we will start on the 26. If we then get 10 x 28 spline, we will then start on the 28.

      and they can't start on it till they got 10 dep. I looked into mfactory and I like the work they do. I just don't say this looks fun i'll throw money at them. They make a good product and I want it. the faster people give them the deposit the sooner the prototype will start and the sooner it can be tested. then that means the faster we get it. whats the problem? this is obviously something they are def working on, its not a side project.

        i dont know what the hold up is for the payments

        one good thing is, the 26 and 28 spline diffs are completely identical aside from the two splined side gears. so once they start working on one... they pretty much started working on both. redrawing those side gears to 28 spline is relatively minor from an engineering standpoint, compared to building an entirely different diff.

              I can tell you why there are more 26 spline. There have been options for 28 available. So there are more 26 spline people who were not ready to swap out axles as well, especially if custom.

                well we have just as many "committed" buyers for the 28, idk where they all went now.

                      Personally, I'm extremely excited about the possibility of a more affordable LSD option that will, at minimum, rival the Quaife.
                      Regardless of the other 28 spline options, this one will be superior (likely in both price and performance).
                      I, for one, am pleased that the plan is to take the time to properly test the design before going into full production. That’s a win-win situation. MFactory gets the prototype time to work out any flaws, and we all get a super high quality product.

                      Obviously the wait time is going to be longer if we take forever as a group to get our deposits in; timeline concerns are only exacerbated by delaying. I certainly don’t expect them to start on a prototype if we can’t prove to them they can sell at least ten of the final product.

                      Either people are in or they are out, and I would ask that those members in the 28 spline group “man up” and admit if they belong on the “ready to deposit” list or not. If we’re talking about a few days to wait for a paycheck, that’s one thing. But if we’re waiting for someone to make the decision to buy? That decision should have been made before asking to be put on a “ready to deposit” list.
                      It would be nice to get this list filtered down to those who are definitely putting their money in on this. At least that way people like me will know if we need to go rustle up more interest just to get the prototype underway.

                      Sorry for the diatribe, just my two cents from the perspective of someone who’s already put the money on the table.

                          i completely agree fremast, and thank you for the vote of confidence. i'm going to directly contact everyone again this weekend. feel free to drum up interest elsewhere... there is no cap on the number of people - so the more the merrier no matter what.

                          the unfortunate thing at this point is that the tester i have lined up needs a 28 spline diff. anyone making lots of power and racing with a 26 spline diff, who lives where the sun shines year round, feel free to PM me.

                          fyi people with 200whp who drag race occasionally on street tires need not apply. for comparison, the car that will be testing the 28 spline diffs runs mid 10's.

                                I have a spare set of 26 spline axles and halfshaft I can give the tester. They're not the best, one boot was leaking but it should be sufficient for a test. Just pay shipping and PP fees and you can keep them.
