I love the fact that they have bolts to keep them on the ring gear instead of rivets. This way we have the choice to change the Final Drive later if we need to, now that we have so many options (3.85, 3.90, 4.10, 4.38, 4.85).

where's the 3.90 and 4.85 coming from?

mfactory has also designed 4.687 & 4.933 final drives for the mazda6 which may actually work in our older g series.

The 3.90 is from the first gen. Probe and MX6 and fits the 28 spline axles so it won't require the spider gear swap if using an open diff. For the 4.85 I have to look it up I forget at the moment.

Are you sure about that, I own a 1G MX6, and they only ever came out with a 4.105 final ratio in both NA and turbo....3.85 was available in the vulcan engined probe, but that was an H-type box like the turbo.

i think maybe some people referred to the 3.85 as the 3.90, but idk.

i know for sure that there are factory 3.85, 4.10, and 4.38 ratios available for the g series. i seem to remember some higher ratio (4.6 something?) available from the ford escape now that i think about it, but dont ask me for details on that one.

yah, sorry, I would say that I would, but I truely have no intension of reading 44 pages of post, when 95+% of it is people post stuff that is worthless to the over-all thread....

check in point.... your post, I asked a simple question addressed to anybody who new the answer.... In steps you, either you dont know the answer and you made one those useless post I mentioned, or you do know the answer and instead of just posting it, you decided you were going to make a feeble attempt to get me to do something that I'm so not going to do..... either way you made a post that doesn't help anything..... just like me, see were just a like.
