I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

      to answer your question:

the sample custom bolts they sent me had the same head height as the OEM honda bolts. these turned out to be too tall, so after grinding down a honda bolt to make it fit i told them what the head height needed to be (7mm).

all the final production bolt kits will have the correct head height so nothing needs to be ground down.

glad to hear that you got the transmission back, Dan!

I know I'm late getting in here.... missed the opportunity because I was watching the "other" forum and didn't see this thread until too late. I'm deff gonna want this to coincide with my clutch upgrade, so I'm puttin' it out there... If anyone who was in line for a 28 spline unit is tired of the wait or ran into cash flow problems & wants to sell their spot, I'm ready! Otherwise, I want to be the first in line after the group buyers' orders are filled, although I would want to know how much for the bolts.

I don't think it's too late to get in on this groupbuy...

it is to late to get in on the group buy and get the free bolts/bearings/etc.

if you want to preorder one you can do so from mfactory's website, they are listed as on backorder. the bolts were still not listed last i checked, though.

Yup... I knew the buy was over on the 11 th of January.... the day I found out about it! Sadly, even if there had been time to join, I didn't understand enough about the LSD to know how bad I should want it.

Since then I got edjumacated (thanks Jon!) and want to change out the stock LSD when I change out the stock clutch. I'm hoping MFactory will ring in here soon with a total price including custom bolts so I can scrape my pennies together. Even so, I know buying someone else out of their spot can and has happened, so... looking to make someone else's loss my gain!

i was going to try and trim it down but its just way too out of control at this point... it would take days of non stop moderation lol.

Just one question, and I'm sure it's been answered in the 58 pages somewhere - is there a hard recommendation on the oil to run? I'm planning on using Royal Purple 75W90 for the stock setup with the MFLSD, then switch to NEO oil when the PAR-geared transmission is assembled.

i ran royal purple 75w140 with my quaife, figured a thicker oil should help cushion things a bit better. it still blew up... but it shifted well. i definitely reccomend the royal purple.

helical lsd's dont require any specific type of oil or additive.

Car is up & ready to go but no dyno time is available until the 18th, so I've scheduled dyno for the 20th, with the testing to take place on the 21st. I'll be doing the alignment on the 19th. So to reiterate, the new scheduled test date is the 21st.
