I'm starting to get the point that people want 323 carbon parts---First thing next year I'll get started on it. Picked up some clean doors today---finally---they weigh 70lbs complete---if your building a race car and delete everything and run the CF ones you'll save at least 50lbs a side---probably 60lbs a side---I wonder what 120lbs less weight would do to your 1/4 mile times Jon??? If you had a hatch and hood you'd probably be 200lbs lighter!!!

Yes---I'm going to gut the door down to nothing and clean it up before dropping it off.

Me too---if things go well I'll drop the doors off just before Thanksgiving and be able to offer them for sell by Christmas. Stuff that in your stocking!

Damn. I guess I'm somehow going to need to convert my wagon to a 2-dooor car...

Hood, fenders, doors, and rear hatch on my wagon, with lexan for the windows, and the sound-deadening off, and the rear interior removed... I bet the car would be down around 2000lbs or so. It's only 239x with a full tank of gas and a spare tire and jack right now....

I suppose the most weight saved from the doors is not the skin, but the multi-layer rigid structure that gives it its shape, right? As in mostly the perimeter?

We cut the tops off, gut the window stuff out, cut the support/safety bar out, then cut the inside panel area out and get them to around 25lbs---they are super flimsy and hard to close. I'm thinking the CF ones are going to be half that gutted and much more rigid...I'm going to cut them in half for my touring car to clear the DTM style boxes and I'm looking/hoping for about 4lbs a door and super rigid...

That's where you set your beer down while your kissing the trophy girl/grabbing the winners check!! It'll take a while, but they will develop into a aero mod that will allow for a wider track/big wheel arch's.

this is the south, half the people on the road don't have doors
