    ill be in tomorrow
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

              Quick update

Bushings/metal has been ordered and I got Jon's mount today.

Comparing his and my passenger mount, it looks like he located his engine/trans about 1/8" closer to the driver side. That explains why my transmission almost fits against the framerail and his didn't.

Obviously, his mount works whereas my car is still sitting in the garage with an empty engine bay...

So, I am just debating whether to make the slots even longer to include my mounting position or to just copy Jon's mount 100%. It's just that if I make the slot longer, the nut would only be touching the sides of the slot, if that makes sense. Not that that's really a problem as the 3/8" steel is plenty strong. Input?

if you slot it a bit more a customized washer from the parts store can help with the load that will be placed on it once its tightened down. im not worried.

                  Update

Ok, I just got back to town and picked up the waterjet cut parts. I gotta go out of town again in the next few days, but I will finish the mounts and have my brother mail them out by early next week. I'll have some pics of a finished mount probably tomorrow night. Please get in your final payments and include your shipping address in the paypal payment.

For those who want theirs powdercoated, Jon can do that. Should be around $10-15, but Jon will chime in with the exact cost. You would pay Jon directly for it. Since the price for the mount was 'shipped', if you want yours powdercoated, I'll ship the mount directly to Jon and you'll then be responsible for shipping from him to you.

What happens to those wanting powdercoating since I would think you couldn't do that with the bushings installed. Would we have to get them pressed in afterward or are they something that can be put in yourself fairly easily.

                          Powdercoating will be:
$10 plus shipping for pass. side mount
$15 plus shipping for drivers side

The bushings should push in by hand (mine did). If for some reason they need to be pressed in, i have a press.

I believe the zinc plating is being done by the guy making the adapter plates in California, and not by Jon. So, I have no idea if he would be willing to throw in the mounts in his batch.

I could get them zinc plated locally, but their minimum charge is $150 for a batch.

                                Welded mounts

I finished up welding the eight mounts and if I have some free time tomorrow I might sandblast them.

I am no professional welder, but I think they look OK. Also, the waterjet left some really rough edges that I smoothed out - shouldn't be able to see them after a coat of paint.

Tomorrow I plan to make the sleeves and then they will be ready to ship out.

The bushings are pretty easy to put in, but not to get back out. So, I am leaning towards not putting them in since you would have to remove them for paint. If you want yours pressed in, let me know.

Here's all eight of them, plus an unwelded one and Jon's.
