GB: Pierce Motorsports front strut bars

Got my front bar on Friday and decided to do a strength test for fun.....

Jims bar deflected a 1/2", didnt touch the ground and when I took the car off the bar, it returned to where it was.


The Ebay bar needs no explanation......

After having my bar installed for a few days, I will have to say I did notice one thing right away that was awesome. The very noticeable amount of NVH that was reduced from the chassis over road seams and broken pavement. The sound is changed to more of a "thud" sound like my wifes Camry makes over the same bumps.

With the car jacked up in the exact same spot as when the bar was off, the door opens/closes with far less of a change after it slides off the latch.

Steering response is improved to the point of rivaling or being better then when I installed the lower 4-point brace. *I have not had the 4-point for a long time now, so this comparison is vs not having one on the car, and not an additional benefit with it already installed*

I have not pushed the car hard yet, so I cant comment on that part right now

I cant wait to pair this bar with the rear one, which with the added benefit of triangulation should really benefit these old cars.

3 reasons........

1...I thought I needed the money at the time and was thinking about parting the car. Glad I only sold a couple items.
2...It was Jims prototype version, so exhaust clearance was not correct, and the exhaust would vibrate off it at idle or decel. I still had the 1.9 at the time so it could have been because of that.
3...I was always hitting it on something in the road or the road itself due to the reduced ground clearance. You had to be extra careful with it on the car.
