That sounds like I great deal. I just wish it wasn't at the opposite side of the country. I've wanted to locate a 4WD Protege not for a rally car, but just so I can get up my driveway in the winter. Just to satisfy my curiosity, is the 4WD Protege an actual 4WD that you can switch in and out of or is it actually an AWD? I haven't been able to find any information on that.Comment

I own a 91 4wd and have converted it to dohc and its VERY FUN Ralley-riffic. I live in Texas near DFW and only get snow and ice a few days a year and am yet to have some snow fun. I HIGHLY recommend a 4wd. Mine sits an inch higher than a regular DX (taller struts for 4wd) but handles phenominally on stock 14" steels w/ 195 60 14s, no squealling. just hangin'.ZOOM ZOOM

If i swap the motor the price for parts will have to go up. Since i will put a new clutch in it. I do have a sohc 4wd motor with 80k im gonna clean up and swap in.Comment
