    FS: 1991 Protege LX

Well, its nice to have 2 of these cars, but time to move on (to bigger and roomier sedans, or other areas of earth). I'm plan to either get a nicer daily driver by the end of the year or I might be relocating out of the country. Im planning to sell one of the two cars I have, but as much as i like the LX, there's more sentimental value to the DX (yes I've been through so much more with it) so I'm keeping that one and that will be my project car.

It is a 1991 Protege LX, approaching 145k mi
    Sunroof model
Red with Grey Cloth Interior (and black bumpers, lol)
    Rust free socal car.

    Engine
Completely stock with the resonator tubing removed.
Wired engine fan to run constantly when the car is on.

    Exterior
    JDM headlights and corners
    Sylvania Cool Blue H4 bulbs
    JDM Familia Front Grille
JDM Power Folding Mirrors (not hooked up)
    Pilot Fog Lights
    93 Protégé Tailights
Painted bumpers black due to them turning pink (fading)
Removed spider infested mud flaps (does that count? lol)
    Modified 626 Front Lip spoiler

    Wheels/Suspension
    2000 Protégé ES wheels
    H&R springs
    KYB GR-2 Struts
Ebay special front strut tower brace (not installed).

    Interior / Electronics
JDM FD3S RX-7 leather steering wheel (plug and play)
JDM Honda Gathers/Pioneer CD/Cass Head unit (yes, Honda. But good stuff)
    JVC 6.5
JVC 6.5" 2 way Speakers (front)
Dual 6.5" 4 way speakers (rear)

    Recent work/Maintenance
New clutch, timing belt, water pump (previous owner at around 120k)
New brake pads and rotors (prev owner at around 130k)
New (replaced) oil pan gasket 142k mi
New clutch master cyl and slave cylinder 142k mi
New passenger side wheel bearing at 142k mi
GM Synchromesh Tranny Fluid at 143k mi
New upper and lower radiator hose 144k mi
New rear coolant hose 144k mi
New spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor 144k mi
New batter terminals and tie down (replace that old nasty one) 144k mi
Replaced Air Flow Meter at 144k mi (bought from Jasoncsprotege)
Fan switch bypass to run constant
    Flush and replaced coolant

    Issues with the car:
2nd gear grinds at really low speeds (i.e. parking lot)
    - clutch pedal may need to be adjusted
auto door locks unlock all doors automatically but does not lock (no idea why).
2 of the tires on the 15" wheels are really worn out (car sits on stock LX wheels right now)
Dings and dents (as it goes with the age of any daily driven car).
had a issue with parking brake not holding well enough, TurboProto seems to have fixed the problem (adjustment).

Other than that, car works very well, drives very well, and still looks pretty decent for its age

Price changed to $2000 (or $1800 without the ES wheels) OR BEST OFFER.

Yes I agree this is a very clean LX Protege. Its a shame that it has to be sold, hopefully it will go to a good home. Ive had the chance to work on this car for minor tuning and it runs very well.

          Bump for a good seller!!!

Well, fixed the grinding problem, neglected the fact that the clutch pedal has to be readjusted after replacing the hydraulic system.
sooo cross that off the list of problems! .
