    1993 mazda protege lx

    I have a 93 protege lx for sale. It is a factory mint green color, grey interior (excellent condition), auto, ac, pw,pl, 223,800 miles, the nicer steel factory wheels ( good condition ).This car was from San Diego then it was in Virginia beach, and then in Pittsburgh Pa. for 1 year before I bought it in 02 or 03. So the body is clean for the age. It has just started to rust underneath about 1 or 2 years ago, nothing serious. The only rust to speak of on the body is on the very bottom of the drivers door. The rest of the car is very clean except for a few dents that I unfortunately gave the car. I was mowing my lawn near my driveway and threw a large piece of shale and it hit the car between the rear pass. side window and the back window. ( The dent from that is about 3 to 4 inches). The other dent is on the right rear quarter panel. A guard rail jumped out and got me on my way to work one afternoon. Also the very bottom corner of the drivers door is slightly bent out ( I was backing up in my driveway with the door open and the door caught a rock hard snow drift. The car is in good condition for it's age.The engine runs very strong. The tranny has been giving me fits and I cannot figure it out and that is the main reason for selling.It is not shifting in the right gear at the right time. A tranny shop said it is not a tranny problem, it is electrical. And I would agree from the way it is acting. I changed the VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR ( mazda calls it a pulse generator ) and it still did not fix the problem. It has been shifting odd for about two or three months now and I have been driving it daily to work 40 miles , so it is still driveable.Reduced to $650.00. I always changed the oil at 3000 to 4000 miles, and I HAVE ALL RECEITS OF ALL MAINTENENCE. Current PA inspected until Feb. 2010. I have a mess of pics I can email upon request.Sorry everyone, I forgot to mention that the ac does not blow cold as of last summer (I think it may need recharged) and the heater does not blow much heat.( It was like that since I bought it 6 years ago.) I think it may need a newer core. It does put out a little heat but not much. I always take gloves and hat when the temp. gets in the teens or lower. lol !! Zap

          I live between Sharon and Mercer Pa. My zip is 16150. I can be on Interstate 80 and 79 in about 20 minutes. I have alot of pics. let me know if you want a better look at the car. zap

            dang dude.. if u were out here, i'd really think about getting that, and 5spd it... good price for a great car. don't let it go to someone who doesn't know jack about 'her

              Wow, I have only ever seen that color on Canadian 1993 25th Anniversary edition 323's. It looks good on this car. Bump for a nice ride. Also, auto - I usually see US LX's with 5spds.

                    I have to get rid of this soon. It still runs good. I have been taking it for a drive every weekend since I first posted it on here. FIRST $500.00 CAN HAVE IT. If I don't sell it soon, I will be driving it to a junk yard. That would be a shame with all of the parts that are in excellent shape on this car. I have alot of pics I can email anyone. Lee

                      its rediculous this has not sold. $500 people, that's a clean LX.
                      i'd be on a payment schedule if i were to buy it though, it is quite far away, too.
                      someone needs to get moving on this. those small dents are easy corrections.

                      i'd be honored to mod the living heck out of that car, lol....
