1988 Mazda 323 GT for sale $2500 OR BEST OFFER

    CAR IS GONE

    Enjoy it Nick!

    Updated pics and location 12/4/2011.

The car is an '88 GT model with 209k on it. It is not perfect. However, it does fire right up, pulls very strong, and has had just about everything under the car freshened up.

Asking $2500 or best offer, trades considered.

    Fuel tank replaced
    New fuel pump
    new fuel filter
    new valve cover gasket
new oil pan gasket and drain plug
    K&N drop in panel filter
New spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor button, and coil.
    New alternator
New 2.5" exhaust including flex pipe from the header back
    new shifter bushings
replacement motor mounts and transmission mount
    new exedy clutch
    new wheel bearings, CV axles
All 4 rotors and brake pads
New KYB GR2 struts with lowering springs (can't remember the brand, but they were a German brand I think)
New upper shock mounts all 4
    aftermarket temp gauge
Momo steering wheel with hub adapter
    new sway bar bushings
Maxxim screech wheels 15x7 et38 with 195/55-15 tires with over half tread left
Toyota MR2 seats (have forward back recline plus tilt and adjustable side bolsters) on the factory seat frame sliders.

Will come with the original radio, factory shocks/springs combo, factory seats, and factory 14" wheels with 195/60-14 michelin pilot exalto tires with 4/32.

I will lower the price if you don't want the aftermarket wheels and tires.

    The bad:
The power steering rack leaks fluid. I think the seals are shot. The exhaust manifold has the typical crack. There are some dents in the body, and the clearcoat is shot. There is also some bearing in the engine bay that squeals for 5-30 seconds after start up if the car sits for a week or so. When I was driving it daily it never squeals. The intake pipe is cracked, but does not leak with how it is currently repaired.

The good: AC system does work, the turbo spools well and pulls hard, the car does not smoke or burn any oil at all. Cranks right up, handles well, the brakes are soft but do stop the car quick, it has factory crank sunroof, and the rare optional trunk spoiler. It has been very reliable.

It ran 10 flat's in the eighth before the new suspension, it will probably run 9.5-9.7's now.

I need to sell this thing but I am not in a rush, it will be listed locally and I may try ebay as well.

Car is now with me in Columbia, SC, 29203. Drove the 2 hour trip from Greenville with no issues whatsoever. I have been driving it 3 to 5 times a week since bringing it down. I would not hesitate to drive it on another several hour road trip.

You wouldn't by chance trade for a modded 4x4 5 speed Nissan Pathfinder? Only 87k runs like a champ made the trip from Chicago here just fine! If Interested I can give you the low down.
