      Thats why. If you find one, I hope you understand what you are buying. All the cool stuff ken block does on youtube is the exact opposite of how to treat a bg 4wd. It will break and you spend a lot of time and money trying to fix it.

            Some lowering is acceptable, I would be saddened to see someone try and dick around with massive camber and unusable ground clearance. Good luck finding an axle if it breaks, ect. If its treated right, they are great. Just no what it is and what it isn't.

                    Adapt your brother's stock Forrester suspension to fit, and get it some mud tires.

                    Always remember the drivetrain is made of antique glass. I don't see how ride height could affect drivetrain stress though.

                      thats fur sure, but no ride height wouldnt affect it. do it right and you get great results. when my brother did his gti before he took it apart all he did was coilovers and notched the subframe to get the suspention travel needed rather then the 1" play in it before he notched it.
