WTB : transfer fuel pump AWD/4WD

WTB : transfer fuel pump AWD/4WD

its for my 90 awd protege, i can make my pump work with a battery so the pump is still good, but when i test
the leveler/switch on it is test out as bad.

so really i only need the leveler/switch for it.

what symptoms is your car having? I think my gauge sender is acting up on mine.

the gauge senders go bad in every 4wd I've ever driven, seems to be pretty common.

I wonder if I could make it work with guts from a fwd sender...

that had crossed my mind too, well the car had no bad symptoms, i restored the gas tank ( had a few small holes and rust)
99 % rust free inside and out now ,
well after the resto on the tank i figured i would test the transfer pump out.
(the main pump works just fine walbro 255lph)

On my GTX, I've used the sensor from other Mazdas of the same vintage.

After wearing those out, I just go off the tripmeter. :/

here is a link to a pic of the 4wd transfer pump.
3 pic down. im not sure how the fwd mazda sending units look, i will have to find a pic.

the electronics in the little steel box is were my problem is, when i sweep the leveler up and
down i get no change in ohms.

I know the RX8 has a hump in the tank to account for the driveshaft, but I think they only use one pump with some sort of siphon tube instead of a transfer pump. I wonder if this wouldn't be an option somehow? I haven't really dealt much with the fuel senders/tanks on my 4WDs yet.

Ive got one, pretty sure it works even...
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.
