Nice !! I was just looking for a mazdaspeed oil pump for my GTR build.

But from what I have found the mazdaspeed oil pump is for a small nose crank.

These guys at boundary engineering is just what I am looking for .

          Thanks Jay !

Quick question...is it the high rpm's or the torque that kill the oil pump gears? I read on feoa that I wouldn't necessarily need billet oil pump gears until around 300hp. I'm just boosting with Vj20, Bp26 injectors, cams, and ecu. It'd definitely be added insurance...any suggestions?

I've been using a regular BP oil pump with my GTR for years now. As long as you still have a regular main pulley, you'll be fine at 300hp. If you get one of those aluminum underdrive pulleys that have no dampening effect whatsoever, then you might wanna think about getting the billet gears. If you're using a VJ20, I don't think you need them.

Ya stay away from aluminium crank pulleys lol.

GTR runs the stock oil pump no problem from what I gather, but does have an upgraded oil cooler. Stock (in good working order) oil pump should be fine for what the vj20 will put out.

yep, what they said. keep the stock pulley and you'll be fine.

Sweet, thanks guys. I was dreading shelling out 219 bucks for oil pump gears. I'm doing a complete rebuild and I have a brand new oil pump and I've heard nothing but bad things about lighweight underdrive pulleys so yeah I'll steer clear of those. Thanks again

I priced put a " OEM " oil pump from a Mazda Dealer and they want just over $300.00 for it !!

For that price I would get the basic complete one from Boundary Engineering .

Same price as Oem but way better unit. an upgrade with billet gears
