It's been a mixed bag, man. First one, the centerdiff let go. But it let go silently. No noise, haven't taken it apart yet. Second one, it ate the driverside halfshaft bearing. I suspect prior damage. No one breaks those. I stripped the teeth off 2nd on an earlier one in my bpt gtx. Case explosions and other such nightmares I have yet to experience firsthand.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

don't launch, run 80/90 weight or better stuff in the tranz, diff and rear.
and i think you will be fine, iv been running my awd pro with a boosted bp
.42/.48 t3 at 9 to 10 psi for about 2 months with no issues yet, exept fuel cut (GTX ECU)

          I just purchased a maroon 5-speed 4wd a few weeks ago!

It runs and drives great, has a brand new clutch, but it's in need of some minor body work, mostly a few small dents and a new paint job, and some new bushings and struts/ springs.

Here is the funny part, it has ~360k miles and is mostly rust free. some undercariage surface rust, but nothing major.

Oh and I spent $200 on it.

Haha, not for sale. I love this thing, and I believe at 360k it's just barely broken-in. plus I am 36% of the way to 1 million miles! What kind of gas mileage are these things supposed to get stock btw?

I guess I should post on here since I've owned my share of these gems. I currently have a well used 90 5 speed. Prior to that I had an insanely clean (rust wise) grey 90 5 speed that I put on it's roof. Ended up selling it to superdave up in canada who's restoring it and doing a hell of a job.
