Which ones would you buy between the MTX 12's, Kicker 12"s, or the Alpine 12"s with a 1.2 cu ft space for each sub and the asmp listed above?

2 Alpine Type R's would be a perfect match for that amp, but that enclosure is too big to get the full potential out of them. I'd say either go for 2 of the Kickers or maybe some Type X's if you wanted to go big.

If i had the money, I woul go type x, but $250 a woofer, I would go PPI. Then all sort of upgrading would be needed.

Thanks for the input. I see that you have two type r's. How do you like them, and what amp do you have powering them?

Actually, I have 3 12" Type R's now, all dual 2 ohm, 2 outer ones are powered by a Kenwood Kac-9152D monoblock 1800W peak, 500W RMS 4 ohm, 900W RMS 2 or 1 ohm. Middle one is running on a Rockford Fosgate 800a 2 ch bridged for 800W peak, 400W RMS 2 ohm. I've had Kenwood Excelons, high end Clarions, Rockford Fosgate, and some older Pioneer Premiers and these are the best subs I've ever owned. I started out with 1 in a ported enclosure, moved to 2 in a sealed enclosure, now 3 in a new custom enclosure I built myself. I think I have each set up at 0.87 cuft, Alpine recommends 0.85 for optimal performance, but close enough for me.

I might go with the Alpines, since i do have the amp and the headunit to match. I just need to upgrade my 2 2chan, to a 4chan Alpine and I'll be good.

Or invest in some amp fans.

I have a Alpine CDA-9855 headunit. Plenty of sub control and crossover to boot. I just need to figure out the fq thing online and burn it to a cd and upload it to the hu.

                    Boy is that a pain.

if i had that large of budget, i would just get one super nice high power 12 or 15 and put it in a sealed box.

I was looking at a type x, but would that supply the bass that i want? I like deeeeeepppp, stomach turning bass. I would go back with a 15, but they are a lil sloppy.

Suggestions? In about 2 weeks, the decision wil be made. AKA, pay day.

I'm def looking at that type x. I'll just cut that box in half since its seperated and throw the other half away. 1.06 is about the right size.

and some people that i have talked to recommend that I use one type x instead of 2 type r's. Its the same price, so one type x, here I come in two weeks.

any recommendations for out-of-car break in?

And has anybody ran across the Kinetik khc600 power cell? I thinking about adding one in the trunk with the existing batt to help regulate the voltage.

                              Any suggestions?
