I just received word from Powerbulbs that Osram has a new, improved, Night Breaker headlight bulb - the Night Breaker PLUS. Some may have seen my thread about the original Night Breaker bulb which can be accessed at:
According to the manufacturer, the PLUS differs from the original in the following ways:
Up to 90% more light than a standard Osram bulb
Up to 35 meters (115') longer beam
Up to 10% whiter light
Up to 50% longer service life (compared to first generation Night Breaker)
Gold contact pins
For more information, go to Osram's official website:
The PLUS is available in the following configurations; H1, H3, H4, H7, and H11.
They are available from http://www.powerbulbs.com
This is an excellent overseas vendor, one I've used many times. Shipping is free and always prompt.
Since the original Night Breakers are so good and the PLUS should be even better, my original recommendation still stands: If your car doesn't use a Night Breaker fitment, sell it, or junk it, and buy one that does. I'm not trying to be a Ball Breaker about this - I'm just simply stating the obvious. There are none so blind as those who WILL not see.
I recently replaced my original Night Breakers with a new pair and I was about to order a spare set to keep on hand. Now, I'll buy the PLUS instead and maybe even install them and buy a second set as a spare. We shall see.
Remember, you read it here first which is why CP is your Forum of choice.
