    So do you have to manually hibernate the system every time you shut your car off, or can you make it do it automatically when the accessory power is off?

      You might have to build a shutdown controller yourself but you can make it automatic... check out the information on dashpc.com about a contoller for a better idea of how it works... they have schematics and everything.
