yeah it takes WAY more power they type X will take more power, but it definitely won't sound as good as a brahma the xbl2 technology has the flattest BL curve of any sub on the market, even the precious W7 it stays linear and has more force at it extremes where other subs are breaking up and getting sloppy. i might be selling the 18 and putting the brahma back in. course i'll be selling the 18, my power acoustik amp and a basic box for $1,000 not bad for about $500 invested. i could probably get more, but i'm hooking up a buddy of mine that has four 12's in his car, and the single 18 destroys them
