I thought that the vj20 maxed out at like 13/14 psi......

are you gonna hybrid the 20, or just gonna push it to the max?

yea the VJ20 is supposed to run outta breath arounf 13-14psi

15 may be possible but I'm not sure. you better have an efficient intercooler though... if you have some POS with alot of pressure drop... your VJ20 will be only good to like 11 or 12 after the pressure loss through the intercooler.

              agreed

there's just no excuse for a FRAM oil filter. you gonna put some recycled coastal oil in there too? ****ing toss that piece of **** and give her a Mobil 1 or Amsoil.

              or AT LEAST a purolator

incase you don't know, fram filters are known for their lack of quality and overall ****tiness.

Even I was surprised to see a fram filter there.

< has a fram in engine at this very moment.

That compares most filters. Most of the frams they tested didn't do too well.

There used to be another comparison page around here somewhere but I can't find it.

edit: and by the way, I admire your car so don't kill me

you could go on for years using fram with out any problems.... ths point is that there are other filters that have been proven to be better. IDK, IMO use what is proven better for your car, especially if your boosted

But hey its your thread.... use what you want.

WHOA... easy does it there chap. No need to bust a nut

The fact of the matter is, just because you haven't had 'problems' with FRAM filters doesn't mean they're any good. It's been proven time and time again how ****ty fram filters are for both flow and filtration.

When I spend money on a quality low-mileage turbo engine, I'm sure as hell not going to skimp on an oil filter thats crucial to my engines wear... especially to save $.50 as opposed to a better purolator.

I spend $11-$12 on a filter (M1 or Amsoil) that lasts 8-10k miles with much better results than a fram does on 1500 miles. Do the math chap

But hey, if you want to be a stubborn retard, by all means. That's your prerogative.

oh, and FYI, from that site someone posted.

Years ago Fram was a quality filter manufacturer.* Now their standard filter (the radioactive-orange cans) is one of the worst out there.* These filters are manufactured by Allied Signal, Inc.* Please do not buy these filters.* By boycotting it, we may be able to cause some change.* I have personally had one if these filters fail and actually cause engine damage due to bits of paper and glue floating around in the engine.
YEAH MAN, IM GONNA PUT A FRAM ON MY $1000 GTX ENGINE

I use the Mobil 1 filter and oil myself. Well worth the extra money IMO.

Yup, for filters, its either Mobil 1 or Amsoil

for oil, its one of three oils
