The ECU wasn't fried, it was just the main fuse and some power wiring.

So the z5 lives a little while longer. I'm still looking into the swap. So from what I understand it will probably be cheaper and easier sticking with a kia BP

i got mine for 100 bucks, and it had 65,000 miles on it
it was a killer deal

but i ended up buying the entire car for 300 because i wanted the wiring and mounts and exhaust parts and bla bla bla
at the time i thought i wanted the ecu, but i dont anymore

by the time it got to my house it was 800 cdn
i wouldnt say the BEST deal... but ya, a deal.

lol, at the u-pull-it in Augusta they charge a flat rate for import 4-cylinders... $160

yep, im definitely pleased with what i paid
i cant complain

this summer its getting around $1500 CDN of work tho :S
im gonna be broke... but it'll be like a brand new engine!

Oh, I thought I read somewhere that it was about a 10 hp gain, oh well, maybe one day i'll get my spare cams re-ground.
