everything is hooked up....and then i turn the key and NOTHING it trys to turn over but the ****ing fuel pump wont turn on...im ready to blow this thing up
red, to test your fuel pump, open up your VAF and with the key in the ON position, manually swing the little arm in the VAF so that it closes the fuel cut circuit. If you swing it open even a little bit, you should hear the pump - then you can tell for sure it's the pump.
BTW, I couldnt get out of my saturday **** and wont be able to make it this weekend for the meet. Only if I knew earlier - sorry man.
i tryed this already and it didnt work....also jumped F/P and GND in the diagnostics box and nothing...
well i cant go either since i dont have a running car....maybe next time...
There will be a wire to splice under the dash and you will need the resistor setup that lives on the firewall if not, will need to splice 4 wires there...
Red, I dont think the harness has anything to do with the fuel pump not working. HEres a few things to check if you haven't yet.
1...disconect the fuel line at the fuel filter and put a rag over the outlet and have a friend crank the car and see if fuel is pumping out. If so pumps working.
2...Check basics...see if your getting spark
3....I see you had the t-belt off dubble check your marks are correct does the engine sound like its rotating fast when cranking as if it has no compression?
good new and bad news...
good news is the fuel pump just needs a resister/relay box on the firewall..but i bypassed it with a relay and some wiring for a temorary fix...the car started right up the first time after that...
the bad news..
it idels ALL over the place....it jumps all around 750 up to 1k and then bogs to 400 then dies unless i rev it....if i rev it it will continue this cycle.....
i let it warm up....and the exhaust is wet....looked under the hood and wtf? there is oil leaking and bubbeling out of the turbo! ****er needs a rebuild, or at leaset new oil seals.....
well it seems that the idle is clearing up a bit...i dunno what the hell i did to it :\
i bought myself a rebuild kit for the turbo so maybe that will fix that...i started running the wires for my gauges today, ill get that finished tommarow and monday ill get my BOV welded on
