not 100% true! ive heard that its the same just different colored wires.. from a few people. but i havent tested myself.

oh a side note. what about the egr? do people keep it or block it? what would you guys recomend for me

if you have emmisions testing you will need it. But if you do not then there is no use for it your ECU does not read the fact if is working or not and will NOT put it into limp mode like many way think. you will get a cell from the selinoids being unpluged but will not effect anything what so ever. If your that concrened about smog get a cat.

in my area all they check is a visual. im not sure if they look for egr. i will have a cat because its legal.

im plannin on doing the klze swap so what ecu should i grab[im talkin like the code on the ecu] im tryin to gather all the lil things right now so when i get the klz i got everything ready to go

a klde ecu would be ur best bet, BUT, whichever Maf u use with your ze your gonna have to match the Ecu with it.

u can use
mx3 gs -ecu/maf
probe/mx6/626 - v6 ecu/maf

of course the better one would be the probe/mx6/626 ecu/maf.. but if u just need something to get it running.. than u cna use the mx3 gs one aswell

oh word ill use the probe/mx6/626 ecu/maf thethere is this guy tryin to sell me a k801 ecu right now but idk what car that ecu is from =/

k8 is from an mx-3, the 1.8v6

just go to the wreckers and grab a VAF and ECU from the same car, just test the VAF before you buy it, just the resistance and what not.

The Mx6 LS - Probe GT V6 trannies do work with the KL swap in the protege, along with the clutch etc.

The gearign is different Top End gearing is shorter. - And the 1-2nd gears are longer. Depends on your preference neither one is better, just depends on what u want to do..

Surley fifth gear is higher then in my 00 Protege. At 80 the engine is turning 4000 RPM. One reason for me doing the swap besides the ovbious is the taller fifth gear.
