im guessing by your screen name you have an escort.

in your case you will need the entire body harness from an MX3 or be good at wiring.

will a escort gt work? i have a whole body harness. if not what is need to bypass that with out a entire body harness from an MX3

if you want everything to be stocklooking you need to swap the entire chassis harness with one from a mx3 GS (the v6's) and get there gauge cluster also

for all the gauges to work properly, other wise you can leave the stock harness in there and your gas gauge will read right

and you will have to buy aftermarket speedo, tach, temp gauge and whatever else you want

ya lol odd swap, but it'll require a lot of work, especially since Honda has quite a bit of available swaps...plus there's always the option of turbo-charging.

Just thought I would add to this yet again lol. Chris (damkid) has a working speedometer in his Festiva with a KL setup. He's using this speedo gear, which was the one used in his first B6T setup with the B6T cable operated G-series trans (non hydro)

^^Yup the speedo gear was originally from a 323 GT and it was a direct swap into the KL trans, i am 99% sure and G series speedo cable (BG or BF chassis) will swap into the KL trans

thats what we did with pile's kl protege also. just swapped the original BP speedo set up. the bolt hole didnt line up, so it went it crooked, and used the bolt to hold it down on its corner. lol. but that seems to be the typical thing alot of others have done also.

that's probably something I'd to lol, use the bolt with a washer to pinch it on the edge so it won't move.

Lol in the pic you can see how the tab on my speedo is broken right off, still works fine though

yup. scotts did till the drivetrain was yanked, and the chassis was sold to crazypunkerguy. lol. its kinda half assed. but it works perfect, involves no work, and doesnt leak. so who cares? lol.
