Wonder if it's a problem w/certain aftermarket axles?

thats what i was thinking. or it might be taht the parts stores are cross referencing parts and they work on a regular basis, but not for the swap.

because i used a gt hub, on one side.. and a lx hub on the other..

i wish i took more pics...

Yes. 90-94 have the same chassis. Just need the parts from the MX3.

The MX-3 v6 cross member bolts up to the Protege frame (and vice versa)

the protege fan/rad are a different size than the MX3 one. The v6 one is taller if memory serves correctly.

The protege rad with aftermarket slim fan will work, but a custom radiator is the best option.

My friend(sohc 1.8t) used a neon rad. Escortluvr(sp) used a probe rad and I think dan [sac] used a mx3 rad.
