Originally posted by MazdaTGTSNothing, the boost stays there all the way. I think is because the boost controller that I have (Profec B). For me the best boost controller for our cars.
I must be doing something wrong .... Mine drops to 12 psi by redline and I dont know why.
Maybe it's a leak, maybe it's the stock EGT exhaust maybe it's the ebay boost controller.
It's bothering me.

i hit 10psi by 3500ish and at about 5k if i hit WOT i will hit 15psi and stay there till redline....i have done this on 2 vj20 turbos now so i know that the turbo does NOT "run out of breath" as some people seem to think it does....
the boost gauge in my sig is a real shot of mine...91 323 GTX @ 16psi, 5 speed || December 07 R.O.T.M.

The best GTX I have seen on a dyno was running 12psi. 230HP on a conservative dyno, and a flat 230lb/ft of torque from below 3000 to over 5000 rpm. With a decent tune, 12psi is all you need, any more just kills the turbo quicker.
I don't understand the obsession with trying to run small turbos at higher and higher levels of boost???? If you want to run a lot of boost, get something like a big T3/4 hybrid, those things thrive on boost...www.323gtx.co.uk
