    more info

A little more info.. Apparently this only happens on the J-spec ECU, and it actually is pin 1M.

here's a link to a thread on fordlaser.com: Link Right Here

and if you do a search for "cut AND 1M*" on that site, you'll find a few threads relating to it as well.

Oh, and if you want to see the file I used, go here and download them:Shop Manuals

so boost cut is only on the j-spec ecu? or the wire is only on the jspec ecu?

I think the wire is only in the J-spec ECU, at least that's what I've been able to piece together. But the manual that I have is the European/Australian one, and it has the wire listed, at least in the harness. So, the connection is probably only there in the J-spec ECU.

However, I never had to touch it on my installation, and I started with a complete front clip. Of course, I only used the JDM engine harness, and everything else was just spliced into my existing cabin harness, so that might have something to do with it. Or, the previous owner in Japan could've taken care of it already before I got the car.

ok well BP55 opened up, the terminal going to the board has a pin at M/1m what exactly does it do by removing the ground?

For that, we'd need to know the internal schematics of the ECU itself, and I don't think that many people have that..

Im not sure if we're dealing with a boost cut or another fuel cut here generated at a certain RPM

Ok Im freaking pissed, everything i have is STOCK! All plug and play. Why the hell wont it run right!!! My friend says it sounds like a missfire not boost cut or fuel cut, why the hell would it run perfect then misfire when i accel a bit harder. I have a Walbro fuel pump, so there shouldnt be any reason for it to run lean. Im really starting to think the ecu might be ****ed. On top of that i STILL dont have a boost gauge so i dont know what the hell kind of boost im even pushing.

Get a boost gauge, and a narrowband AF gauge at the least.

You can't tell what's going without a minimum of these tools

are your plugs gapped properly... that could have something to do with how it runs.

It could also be the disty and/or plug wires. Mine kept on popping off the plugs.

Tell me about it - it was always this one wire on cyl 1 that kept doing it after extended driving on the hwy. I replaced the whole set and the problem went away
