I agree. The SVT focus motor would make an awesome swap. They even come with a big aftermarket following, including superchargers.
I LOVE superchargers, lol! WAY more power than a BPT.

i got a question. i got a 2.0L zetec from an 99 escort zx2 and i was thinking of puting it onto my 90 protege lx. is the block the same as the 1.8L protege engine? and if i swap can i use the mazda wiring or i would need to get the zx2 wiring?Comment

Block is not the same and won't bolt to the trnas without an adapter plate. If you find an adapter plate, lemme know...'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.
