    mmmmmmmm why? I see stock height in your pics. So if you sag that easy then your springs are probably shot to ****! I've had a 250 lb kid in the back and my gf in the front and i didn't have any scraping issues and i'm lowered slightly!

        The struts were brand new as of... february... i had to get them to pass inspection, along with a front bumper because of umm... "Sharp corners" And.. that's the reason my front windows aren't tinted anymore... damned NJ DMV... :p

            So to swap my dohc engine into my sohc car whats needed? My car is an auto, and the escort I have (bad tranny) is a manual.

            Trying to find out which would be easier, finding a used 5speed, or swapping the dohc into the protege.

              well if you swap the DOHC motor into the protege with the stock auto transmission... you;ll soon be looking for a replacement transmission haha

              i would say just hunt down a new trans for the escort. you could even swap the DOHC to the protege, with your new 5 speed trans, if you prefer the pro to the escort

                so how much more power the dohc put out to mine now?

                I'm really suprised that my daily use of the hold button hasnt took the tranny out yet.

                  SOHC is 108 hp i believe and DOHC is 125/127 depending if you look at the Protege LX or EGT specs! Essentially when the power drops of the SOHC at higher revs the VICS and extra valves help it along for a bit longer!

                      ......And while the BP doesn't seem like is has that much more power just by looking at the numbers, it is an EXCELLENT platform to build from, unlike the limited SOHC.

                        exactly. dont forget that the block itself on the GTR rally cars is exactly the same as on your stock BP. find me a honda boy who can say that about his motor

                              and uh ya car does not look lowered at all... if your rubbing your offset has got to be screwed. i have about 1 inch front fender gap and like no rear fender gap on my egt and no rub.
