Quaife or MSP LSD?

    So this includes pressing the bearings and shaping the speedo gear? How much for the welding? What about the 626 5th gear is it worth putting in? thanks for all your help

      shaping the speedo gear is a bitch!, it would be much easier to machine the housing slightly with a lathe

            That should explain it all. You can either grind the plastic speedo gear like in that post, or the better way to go would be to machine the lsd like Ryan suggested.

                        Are the Kia AUTOMATIC 1.8l axles usuable? Can't find any into if it's a F or G (betting it's an F)

                            Hi guys im new here sorry about hi jacking the thread but i just wanted to ask a quick question about the Lsds. im using a Mazda 323 infini gearbox with the original lsd inside it. what i would like to do is change the Lsd to an upgraded one i.e the MSP or Quaife as u guys are talking about now. only thing is my car is a Fwd GTR with the infini box. just wanted to know if its possible to change??

                              Hmm, do you know the spline count on your axles? The Quaife/MSP lsds are 28. And, the stock g-series is 26.

                                yes it will work but you will need the appropriate kia axles and intermediate shaft. make sure you dont throw out your infini axles and diff... SOMEONE will buy that stuff for sure.

                                stock g-series is 26, so are the infini axles... but the splined part of the axles are longer than stock axles. IE a stock G-series axle isnt long enough for the snap ring to clip into an infini diff.
