So this includes pressing the bearings and shaping the speedo gear? How much for the welding? What about the 626 5th gear is it worth putting in? thanks for all your help

That should explain it all. You can either grind the plastic speedo gear like in that post, or the better way to go would be to machine the lsd like Ryan suggested.
can anyone give me a measurement of the carrier. or if someone can send me a broken one that would be perfect

person who only loves what they drive is simple. The use of the word RICER!!!
Yeah, I've heard of OPM. They are in Cumming, GA about 30 minutes from where I live. I'll be at around 300whp, so I am not sure if a modified stock diff could handle that. But, keep us posted on how you like it.

heh, I moved to Canton not to long ago and have noticed there are plenty of motorsport shops in this area.
Hi guys im new here sorry about hi jacking the thread but i just wanted to ask a quick question about the Lsds. im using a Mazda 323 infini gearbox with the original lsd inside it. what i would like to do is change the Lsd to an upgraded one i.e the MSP or Quaife as u guys are talking about now. only thing is my car is a Fwd GTR with the infini box. just wanted to know if its possible to change??

Hmm, do you know the spline count on your axles? The Quaife/MSP lsds are 28. And, the stock g-series is 26.
yes it will work but you will need the appropriate kia axles and intermediate shaft. make sure you dont throw out your infini axles and diff... SOMEONE will buy that stuff for sure.
stock g-series is 26, so are the infini axles... but the splined part of the axles are longer than stock axles. IE a stock G-series axle isnt long enough for the snap ring to clip into an infini diff.
