    Celica Alltrac ST205

However going off what some other peope have found; there is nothing wrong with a Camry E153. Triple cone syncros have their problems too. I would just source what you can easily get your hands on in good condition, that you can also easily get parts for going forward.
The lack of a factory LSD is no issue. Viscous ones dont last when pushed hard. The availability of Kaaz and TRD clutch type and many others, means its not so much of an issue compared with availability of LSDs for factory Mazda boxes.

you can get front wheel drive LSD's all day for that box, but not so much if you actually DO get the AWD trans. There's testing in the works for MFactory to build a front LSD for the alltrac trans. I don't recall anything other than viscous for the center in that car, and there are a few options for a rear, in addition to the stock VLSD.

i remember seeing a white 626 wagon with a 500hp FE3-T and a e153 box bolted to it... anyone know where he got the adapter plate made? IIRC he was over seas but got the plate from here?

        found one of his vids...

500hp is cool. wagon is cool. a 1500rpm powerband is not cool.

also, i just found a st185 trans and rear end to fit in my car... but if i ever want to go and put in the st205 trans and rear end, will i have to make all new mounts? or are they all the same? i dont want to re-do all the work i have done once....

It's not so bad for a drag car, I guess?

st185/st205 trans and rear end will all mount up the same. The changes are only internal tween 'em.

Soul made the adapter plates, I bought one of them myself.

The plates are to adapt an E52 trans to the FE3 (the E52 is from the 1988 4AGZE powered AE92) The bell is different but the back half of the box is the same as the E153

Soul ended up bolting the back half of an E153 box onto the E52 bell as part of an upgrade to the internals anyway so it definitely fits.

I havent read the whole E153 conversion thread so I dont know if there is any advantage/disadvantage of the E153 vs E52 bell for the conversion

the E52 bellhousing. locates the starter in the proper position for BP/FE3 (on the backside of the motor) without a need to make a nasty blockoff plate for the front starter point.
and there are a few other small points- but my memory is fuzzy
