I got a friend who did the fwd Toyota gearbox swap to his FS powered MSP. I could give you his facebook contact info to get in touch with him about his FS adaptor plate. He made 400+whp on his built FS engine with CP pistons, K1 rods, arp studs, Garrett GT3071 internal gated, 3" exhaust system, fmic setup, Haltec EMS and other supporting mods on the Toyota gearbox mod.

Here is fb page that you can get in touch with him through.

sounds crazy but I'm going to try do a 4wd swap the rear end I'm more then positive ill be able to adapt a wrx/sti 2004-2005 114.3 full rear end with custom adjustable lateral links and trailing arms im hoping that the coil overs have the same thread pitch for the right height this allowing me not to have get a custom spindle adapter to my coil over i can just thread it up and adjust the height allowing me to use the wrx spindles, axles and all and the lateral links and trailing arms will allow me to center the wheels properly. then find a shop to make a custom drive shaft and should be ready. I'm almost positive the front sub frame should have clearance for the trans case maybe slight modifying will be required but i think the 4wd bj protege/protege5 still use the same front subframe but im still doing research. I'm gonna try to get in contact with him thank for help greatly appreciated

importantly, does the subaru rear diff have the same gear ratio as the front diff in the transmission you will be using?

What is the difference in engine length between the BP and the FS engine? I think with the E153 trans and a BP, it's already pretty darned tight in the engine bay.

For all the AWD guys who are looking for what to do about the rear axles, apparently you can use st205 rear axles with no need for the rear spacers. Most people have been using st185 rear axles and they have to make a ~1" spacer to go between the rear diff and axle. The st205 axles are a little longer and eliminate the need for the custom spacers.
