1.6 miata motor?

So I have a lead on a cheap 1st gen protege (94 SE model).....and at the same time I'm replacing the 1.6L motor from my miata with a built BP motor.

So I'm thinking...how hard would it be to put the 1.6L motor from the miata in the protege? I'm thinking the motor mounts and maybe the intake manifold may be issues.

Anyone done it before?

I can't recall ever hearing of anyone doing that. I'm not sure if its the same as the SOHC b6 or not. If so then you should be able to swap the manifolds, oil pan, and other little stuff over and it would physically fit but engine management might be an issue.
