Ok, so the new usb-serial adapter works, and all gauges are working like they should. It's still idling really low on cold starts, once it's warmed up, it idle around 600rpm. I have to get gas later tonight, and then I'll tune so more. When I first hit the gas, it stumbles really bad, A/F ratio is around 12. I change the fuel req. to the 460cc instead of the 550cc's. what else should I change?

      Eric, glad it's running.

Check the instructions - they tell you all you need to know regarding injector resizing.

Also, make sure you load the correct map for your car - ie NOVAF_IDLE.

Is the idle higher when cold? You may just need to also adjust the idle set screw.

Serial to USB convertors fail. Buy a old laptop and be done with it thats what I did xD
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

I just redid all the settings. I think I had left some of them on the 550cc settings. I'm gonna go drive it here soon and see how it does.

Each time I start it, and before when I was having problems, I loaded the BP_MSI_NOVAF_IDLE map each time.

I adjusted the idle up some, once it's warm, it's around 1000 rpm, but until it get's fully warmed up, it's below that, around 500-800 depending on temp.

I don't think you have any problems once you buy a nice adapter and configure it in windows.

Yeah, you're lucky. I know I shouldn't have traded that laptop. How's it running after taking the nice "bath" in your car?

It wasn't even a bath. Only the back corner was a little wet and it works fine

So I guess you didn't want to look at my map?

                  UPDATE

After a couple of test runs and driving around, I found that my spark plug wires were bad. The car was having spark blow out. I'm assuming probably the wire from the coil was bad. Swapped on my old NGK set and the car runs perfectly now. Still have to start it up tomorrow morning and see if the enrichment values still need to be tweaked.

Went out and slowly turned the boost up. Now up to 17-18psi. I logged a couple of runs, and the car is running lean up top. I want to stay at this boost level, but need to tweak the tables. Still trying to learn everything. I found I was running lean by watching the logs in MLV. I saw a button in it that has VE Analyzer. Reads your map and everything and then suggests a altered map. Is this safe to try , or just do it manually?

I'm using my adapter and now that I have it configured, I'm not having any problems with it.

the analyzer in mlv works pretty well for getting a rough tune done quick. i've had to fine tune manually, but i got my car through emissions the first time by using that tool almost exclusively.

the key is that your AFR target table needs to be good. that's what the program goes by, so if that isn't where you want to be then .... yeah

MLV analyser works very well but you need a big log with lots of data to get a better average. I tuned the car based on that. I don't know about MS1 but with MS2, the IAT and barometric correction formulas are too agressive and the tune changes depending on the time of the day. So ideally, you want to tune at 20 deg C IAT at 100 kpa pressure.

keep your throttle modulations slow and smooth as well, rapid accel events will cause issues

^what he said, keep it smooth to avoid lean and rich spots, disable AE.

ok, so i've done several hard pulls, no medium or light pulls yet, and currently at 16psi and the a/f's are around 12-12.7. I would like them a little lower cuz anywhere i got, it's gonna be lower so it will lean out a bit.

Lex, I can't get my 2 step to work. I put in all the desired amounts, push in the clutch and it just revs all the way up.

When you push in the clutch (just at idle), does the Launch on red light come on at the bottom of the screen in the megatune window?
