ms code error, and wont communicate

    mind be a bad cable. i have 2 usb to serial adapter at home both are new and only one of the 2 will work with ms.

      well i found out my bios was bad, that didnt fix anything tho, i keep getting this error 0x14 code then it says like 485 errors in the audit log i turned off anything that would try and use a com port, as far as i know. and ya the other computers i tried the usb adapter and the flash drive i used last night, but nothing too... i dont even know where to start i thaught this was gonna be an easy plug and play....


      i also now downloaded a different megatune with the hr10 code i was missing i can connect all the time now, but it didnt start, im gonna try again tomarrow on lunch for a few. im also gonna see if i can get anything to work using tunerstudio...

        well i can get in, and burn files fine, i downloaded a megatune that you pick the version. both mt and tunerstudio will connect, my tps wont calibrate tho. i gotta try the serial again, but i ran outta life on lunch. its charging now, ill try again in a little bit. so hopefully if i can calibrate that right, and everything else seems right, hopefully ill get somewhere now.... i believe the rest of the gauges are reading right just from knowing what theyre generally supposed to be from working on cars everyday at work... when i was cranking earlier , maybe it was just the tps doin it, but i was only showing like 1.5ms on time for the injectors, id have thaught it should be a tad more maybe? i hope i can get this running soon, before the giant sledge starts looking better and i give up...lol...

          so i cant seem to find any sorta voltage on the tps wires with ms connected, its fine with the gtr ecu, i have 5 volts on the signal wire. havent tried to start it lately id like the other things settled. anybody have anythaughts this things starting to piss me off.... im trying to find someone local with a stim board to see if the damn things even anygood in the first place before i keep wasting my time.....

              thats about where im at with it, im just frustrated and enjoying the gtr ecu that much more right now... doug couldnt get it to start his, but i dont know if he checked his tps gauge either, i switched the one gauge to it just checking them all and noticed it...

                i thought when you had the gtr ecu you had to move the tps pin on the ecu to a different spot. so since its plug n play try switching the pin over. just a thought

                    This won't work. The PNP unit is not meant to make use of the TPS at all since it is not found on NA cars.

                    It uses the MAP sensor for acceleration enrichments.

                      what you should try is, test your ms on a bench with only a battery connected and try to communicate with the system.

                      also the throttle sensor its not connected at the same place for the gtx/usa ecu and gtr ecu.

                        it communicates, that parts over finally, the bios in my laptop was corrupt, i put in a way newer bios, and now it sees my hdd, and com ports, who knows what happened there, i just got the thing. but im gonna make a log and crank the crap out of it after work, see if i can even get it to sound like it wants to start.... ill update after 6 when i get out and have some free time again... im also now looking for a garage to rent, i may take one of the storage units across the rd if i can talk the guy into letting me work on my cars in there..lol... its cheap tho...

                            and its gone.... now im missing spark ,i get fuel, but im going to check again,but i get spark once i turn the key to start for a split second, then once when i let off back to run again the same.... so now what do i check aside from the db37 wires and the signal from the ms?

                              well i gave up and it went out today to visit lex for flatshift/launch control, and see what my issues are....


                              end thread i guess for now.....

                              thanks anyone who helped so far, im sure deadly sleepers about sick of me by now....lol....hopefully ill get it back plug it in and start it right up.... altho for what im into it now i might as well have got a new one....lol.... i should have known, i never trusted electronics, theyre either good when tested and die shortly, or theyre good for ever.... atleast its out of my hands so i cant piss myself off anymore...lol....
