can't rev past 4500 with ms???

we had a lot of snow today, i had to plow the driveway, Wednesday i will change the pull up to 1k 12v and re flash it. hope it will help. on msextra forum he told me i have too much fuel so if the first mod dont work i will try removing some fuel.

While the car is warming up, it will have a rev limit when no load is on the car. Also, try drive the car down the road and put a load on it, so it sees a MAP pressure. Once it sees that, it should let you rev past that limit. If not, redo the map.

Mine will do the same thing when parked, but once I put a load on it, it will rev fine, IE in gear driving down the road.

well that interesting.. i cant drive the car right now, too much snow and salt on the road to drive it. i will still change the pull up to 1k that what they normaly run.

i didnt know about the no being able to redline w/o a load, mine doesnt do that, i can redline drop it fine.... itll redline with or w/o the clutch pedal pressed in so i dunno whats up with that one...

That could have to do with the settings that I have. I'm fairly certain it did that from that beginning.

On both the gauge cluster and the gauge on the MS does it show 4500 rpm? I have a problem with my gauge cluster reading slower or not accurate, so I go off the MS gauge.

i tried the car outside to see if i had the rev cut at 5000 rpm and yes i was on snow so i was able to hit 5000 rpm and its was like a rev limiter.

well i found something interesting, accel enrich settings was set to low rpm 2500 high rpm 5000, i will change the high to 8000 and see if its help my problem.

well its was the accel enrich settings. now it rev to 7000 and ve analysis dropped the value. now let the snow melt so i can drive it!!!

Weird, AE has nothing to do with rev limiter, probably a bug in the code. What firmware are you running?

Are you using MS2e with a 4-1 cas? If so, build the following circuit (it's a duplicate of the one already located on the MS V.3 board), it would protect your CPU

ya that is odd, id say possibly reflash the firmware still. mines set low and i dont have issues with it....

i'm runing a diypnp, its run on a microsquirt module. i'm runing version 2.1.1a i will try to turn back down the AE now that my ve table its lower to see if it go higher then 5000 rpm.

i just tried, turn back AE to 5000 i was still able to rev to 7000 rpm. the problem was the ve table, the number was too high, so when i changed AE to 8000 VE Analysis was able too drop the value, but i was still having problem if a rev it at open throtle. so i dropped the value of the table and now i can rev better.

so my main problem was my ve table.
