    Stock disty home trigger?

This could be a dumb question....

The disc in my BP dist. for the hall effect sensor has 4 cut outs and a 5th longer cut out in between and above 2.

Is that longer 5th cut the home trigger?

Do I need a 4 wire distributer plug to use it? The BP is in my sohc car so I'm not sure my 3 wire is the right one.

Thanks for info and sorry if its been coverd, couldnt find anything with my searchs

You don't even need to add the extra wire to the distributor if you don't want to lol, car will run just fine on your 1.6/1.6 sohc harness. You can even use your fuel rail harness and everything.

You'll need to run a wire for the VICS (intake butterfly valves) if you plan on using that intake manifold, otherwise you'll be fine. The car will start right up no problems.

Just did a BPT swap on a friends 323, we used his complete harness, no modifications asides the TPS sensor.

Hey thanks man, thats really good to kno!

The thing is that i'm usin a aem ems, and it don't like that i don't have a home trigger. I'm a newb to this stuff so i feel like its dumb to ask, you kno. Like i can run the car on just the hall effect sensor how it is, but it'll be firing the injectors 2 by 2 instead of sequencially.

Thats why I wanna set up a home trigger and was hoping someone could tell me if my disty has one so i dont spend a bunch of time wiring wrong

the bp is a 4/1 disty so the cam signal shows each time to inject fuel and the crank shows when it goes around 360* so i would guess the single trigger would be home and cyl 1
