I just checked the workshop manual it says its a circuit opening relay. Do i need this relay for my Megasquirt, im looking to remove as much as i can that i dont require. The fuel resistor and relay is in the engine bay.

Looking at the wiring diagram it is linked to the fuel pump relay, but dont know if i require it as my fuel pump is hard wired at the relay by jumping pin 3 and 5 on the connector.

Yes, this relay should be kept when stripping the wiring harness. Did you remove it and simply jump the connector? If so, ensure the pump turns off with key off, and that the wire gauge is thick enough on the jumper.

Have soldered the wires together. The thick green wire is powered by the ignition so no problems there.
