    AC with MS.

    Anyone using ac with MS?

When I turn on the AC at idle it causes the car rpms to drop for about 2 seconds almost to the point where it stalls.

    Any ideas?

wheresthericego got the a/c system to work with the MS. i believe he had to redo some of the wiring, but he said he was successfully at it.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

Yes I use it with the AC Idle Up and CL Idle of the MS3+MS3X and works perfectly, barely noticeable dip when the compressor engage.

          What MS do you have?

I can provide you my .msq but keep in mind that if going to be very different if you have a MS1 or MS2.

For the MS1 and MS2 you have to make some hardware modifications. If that is the case unfortunately I don't have any experience with those. The MS3+MS3X comes ready with the inputs and outputs to setup things like the AC Idle up.

But let me know what do you want in specific so I can help you better.

Ok so you have to identified the cable that goes from the AC switch that goes to the factory ECU. In my car (which is a 1992 Protege LX) is a green cable with a black stripe. Also you have to identified the cable that goes from the factory ECU to the AC Relay. It is a blue with a black stripe. Once you identified the cables wire the green cable with a black stripe to one of the 4 switch inputs of the MS3X and the blue with a black stripe in one of the 6 PWM outputs. Then go to the AC Idleup in TS and setup the parameters based on your config.

Ok I have the ac idle up now...
Where do the wires go on the ECU?

In what input you hook it up?

I'm using it on MS1. IIRC I converted the ac relay from 5/6 wires to a generic 4 wire relay. I had to change the way the switch worked but essentially I got it working. I've got it set to where the idle compensates for the extra load on the engine while the ac kicks on.

I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.
