SDS (Simple Digital Systems) stand alone.

Well going back through old posts my AWD mx3 has been down since 07'... crazy how fast life goes by.

So my question is I know many of you go with a MS engine management but I know there are folks out there that are running the SDS system. Is anyone or know of anyone running a BP and the SDS system?

I am getting close to getting this nearly 2.0L BP back on the road and am looking for base maps. It is mapped to start up but not drive. And as I get close to finishing the re-fabrication of some things I am finally installing the stand alone. I will be running a 16G with 780cc injectors but I just need a base line to work off of.

    Thanks for any help guys.

What about using tunes from other cars with the same displacement? The 4G63 is a 2.0 and can come with the 16G turbo as well. Might help?

It is possible. I will look into it. They advertise some EGT guys using the system so I will keep looking around for that as well.

      Thanks

I know Cityracer is running it on his built turbo FS. Ive played with it. And think its actually a really good system. Im selling my MS set up i had in my PGT just to swap to a SDS unit.

Nice, yeah I have not really played with remapping all that much. It is an awesome system. Hell they use it in planes so it has to be reliable right? The reason I got it was two local dyno shops told me that it was one of the best next to AEM, Haltec, and such without the larger price tag.

I know back in my 914 days it was the ticket. Haven't heard much about it since I left those forums. Always heard good things.

I have experience with both MS and SDS. Both will work great as a stand-alone. In my opinion, SDS is popular because it doesn't require a laptop. However, if you have a laptop and are up for some DIY, MS is the way to go. I'm currently running a MS3x.

If you plan on dyno tuning or asking a buddy for help, ask your tuner what they prefer. You will save time and cash if you go with what they are familiar with.
