02 Sensor wiring diagram

I need to extend my 02 sensor a few inches to reach my harness. There are four wires, two black, one blue, and one white. The two black should be heater circuits, the white should be ground, and the blue should be signal. My question is can the black wires be mixed up without adverse effects? If they shouldn't be mixed up how do I know which one goes where? I shouldn't have cut them all without looking to see if any of the wires were the same color..

The heater circuit does not have polarity. . You are right in your wire colors

run the grounds to the grounding point for the ecu on the head just behind the disty. all sensors should be grounded as close to the same spot as possible .. your later change to MS will appreciate it
